Christmas at SHELTER: When a child is born

The annual affair took place on the evening of the 30 Nov 2007, with the staff and their families.

This Christmas Dinner also gave us a fish-eye view of the generosity of our donors and the care they have for the children. But for the children, Christmas actually took off some days earlier as all were involved in some away or another in the preparation and wrapping of food and gifts respectively.

The children delighted their audience with Christmas carols played on the recorders, showing their talent. There was a spontaneity that warmed the hearts of the guests and families. After some four hours later these memories will linger in the minds of SHELTER children in the bond of friendship with people whose presence and action proclaimed in more than just words alone.
