Internship Programme

     Internship Programme at Shelter
Shelter also organizes social work training programmes for those interested in this type of work to better prepare them to work among disadvantaged members of society. Basically the programme aims at providing an opportunity to university undergraduates, aged between 19 and 24 years, to learn about, and get hands-on experience in social work. It consists of four sections - Exposure, Learning, Action and Debriefing. The inaugural internship program was held on 12th June - 25th June 2006 together with FES. This Social Work Exposure Programme helped the participants develop feelings of empathy and compassion towards those who are in need besides exposing them to the struggles of those in need.
